A new era dawns upon the battlefields of the 41st Millennium (again), as we gather to celebrate the arrival of Warhammer 40,000 11th Edition. The rules have changed, the stakes have escalated, and somewhere, a Space Marine has gained at least one additional ability. This is your summons to the Ludlow Wargaming Society, where dice shall be cast with reckless abandon and rules debates shall echo into the void.

Bring forth your armies, whether freshly painted or heroically “in progress,” and prepare to test them under the sacred, and occasionally confusing, doctrines of the new edition. Veterans will adapt. Newcomers will pretend to understand. All will roll ones at the worst possible moment.

Fear not if the datasheets seem arcane or the stratagems inscrutable. Guidance shall be provided, wisdom dispensed, and at least one person will confidently explain a rule incorrectly. Together, we shall navigate this brave new ruleset, forging legends, rivalries, and possibly grudges that last until 12th Edition.

There will be varied battlefields upon which to wage your wars, from ruined cities to suspiciously familiar arrangements of terrain. Expect camaraderie, light mockery, and the occasional dramatic last stand. Please note: the exact date of this gathering may shift in accordance with the release of the new boxed set—such is the will of forces beyond even the Emperor’s control.

Answer the call. The Emperor (probably) approves. And remember: in the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war—but at Ludlow, there is also drink, laughter, and dice that absolutely cannot be trusted.
