Revised for 2026!

What wargames do you play?

At the moment we primarily play Warhammer 40K. We have played variants such as Boarding Actions and Horde Mode and are looking to expand in 2026. Our current focus will be on Kill Team and the Horus Heresy (“30K”). Later in the year we hope to start playing Age of Sigmar/WarCry. If you are passionate about playing a particular wargame then please get in touch.

How can I join the Ludlow Wargaming Society?

Joining is easy and free! Just attend one of our meetups or contact us through via email or the Facebook group. We are looking into membership options and further details will be avaliable shortly.

What types of events do you host?

We organize regular battles and hobby nights suitable for all skill levels.

Where are your events held?

Our gatherings currently take place in Ludlow, England, currently at the Rose & Crown Pub (see Contacts for a handy map!). However some events may take place in other venues so please check the Events page or our Facebook group.

Yes, players are encouraged to bring their own models and gear. We currently play the 10th Edition of Warhammer 40K, 3rd Edition of the Horus Heresy and 3rd Edition of Kill Team.

Do you charge?

Currently we not charge, thanks to the generosity of our hosts. However we cannot guarantee this will always be the case. (Please also note that some events that we may advertise do have charges or donations are required).
