Looking Forward to 2026…
As we roll out of the Christmas period and into the new year, we wanted to take a moment
to reflect on what’s been a fantastic few weeks at Ludlow Wargaming Society.
Christmas Highlights
The festive season brought some excellent gaming and memorable moments across the tables:
– Boarding Action proved to be a brilliant alternative over Christmas tight corridors, brutal encounters, and a clear reminder of just how strong Terminators can be when they get up close.
– Our Horde Mode session delivered overwhelming odds, desperate last stands, and some truly cinematic moments.
– Plenty of great games of Warhammer 40,000, with armies clashing and the dice deciding glory or disaster.
There were plenty of highs, plenty of lows, and countless moments where the dice told amazing, and sometimes tragic, stories.
A Growing Community
One of the biggest positives over the Christmas period has been the influx of new members and a steadily growing group of regulars each week. It’s been great to see new faces learning the ropes, rolling dice, and quickly becoming part of the club.
Looking Ahead
– More Warhammer battles
– Further Boarding Action games
– Dedicated Kill Team nights
– Dedicated Horus Heresy nights
– Our usual hobby nights for painting, building, and terrain work
New Saturday Sessions
We’re excited to announce an additional Saturday gaming session starting on 10th January. We were approached by a local charity to run this session, and we’re very pleased to be working with them.
This Saturday session offers a great alternative for anyone who struggles to attend on a weekday. It will be a longer session with access to a larger space, giving us even more room for big games, multiple systems, and relaxed hobby time.
Thank you all for making Ludlow Wargaming Society such a great place to game. We’re excited to see what stories the dice will tell in the months ahead – Matt D
